I have 20 years of experience in implementation for large IT and security hardware and software projects in Saudi Arabia including in areas such as ERP management, large data warehouse, human resource IT, IT Management and media-related IT projects. I have worked for leading players in the Saudi market including Saudi Business Machines (the Kingdom’s leading provider of end-to-end enterprise information technology and telecommunications solutions) and Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (the Kingdom’s leading tissue paper manufacturer).

I also help found Conjunction Enterprise Inc. in North America which had the objective of selling cyber security products into the Saudi government market.

Over the course of my career, I have learnt many lessons on what it will take for Saudi technology entrepreneurs to succeed in the global marketplace. I believe that while there is no lack of talent in Saudi Arabia, the road to making Saudi Arabia a global leader in innovation will be long and hard. A key component of this will be how Saudi entrepreneurs and technology experts can collaborate with innovative technology leaders in Silicon Valley, in Boston, in New York, in Vancouver, in Waterloo, in Cambridge, and in other global innovation clusters. I think that Sandstorm’s mission of placing Saudi technology entrepreneurs into our portfolio companies will be the spark that ignites innovation in Saudi Arabia.

My successful career in business development has involved moving organizations from ideas to action. I bring this action-oriented approach to Sandstorm where I help our portfolio companies focus, prioritize and act quickly within their own existing realities and constraints. My strengths are in developing strong relationships necessary for trust as a precursor to doing business. This is a must in the Saudi Arabian market. Throughout my career, I have captured the essence of what will make a product successful in the Saudi Arabia market and then steer my partners to achieving their business development goals.

With Sandstorm, my aim is to help our portfolio companies develop channel relationships in the largest market in the Middle East and also help them with their Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) in the Saudi market so that they can avail themselves of the large private capital pools available here.

I have a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership with a specialization in Information Systems and Technology from the University of Phoenix (USA), a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology (Canada).
